We’ve been busy in the background working on a massive change for Pole & Aerial Divas over the past 6 months and we’re so excited to announce that Divas is moving to Groovio!
Why We’re Making the Move
We’ve been using MindBody for over 10 years and while the software has served us well, it wasn’t quite built for the nuances around how pole and aerial studios are run. This was a shared feeling across the board for many pole and aerial studio owners about a range of fitness booking platforms and this shared feeling is where Groovio was born. Groovio was founded by Kristy Sellars, a founder in the Australian Pole Industry. Having experienced first hand the challenges pole and aerial studios face, she built the solution herself. This is a system made for businesses like us and students like you and we are so excited for this change.
Exciting New Features
Book and Manage Everything In One App
You can easily view and manage everything from the app – your schedule, your membership, your credits, your payment details; it’s all in one place!
No Password Required
Logging in is simple. Just enter your email, and you’ll receive a one-time pin.
Track Your Progress
One of our favourite features. You’ll be able to see your skill lists for your level, track which skills are upcoming, in progress, or achieved. This is something we’ve never been able to offer you before, and we’re so excited about it! This feature won’t launch immediately, but stay tuned.
Manage Your Family Bookings
Parents you’ll be able to add your children to your account and book classes on their behalf, all from the one profile.
A Retail Shop, Right In The App
Browse and purchase retail products directly through the app, with your payment details already saved. Perfect for when we do a brand new merch drop and you want first dibs on the swag!
True Priority Booking For Members
Only students with active memberships will have access to early timetable release. Get rewarded for your loyalty.
Discounts On Drop-In Sessions
When you feel like adding on an extra class here or there, this app knows your membership and will automatically charge you for a single session at your discounted member rate!
Wallet
With Groovio you’ll now have a pre-paid “wallet” option that you can load up and then this can be used for anything. Membership payments, products, studio hires, add-on packs, you name it! You can load up your wallet from within the app itself OR come see us at the desk for eftpos or cash payments, and we will do it for you.
There are lots more to come and new features are constantly being added!
How Your Membership Works in Groovio
There are a couple of changes to how memberships work that we want to be upfront about.
Payments will move from fortnightly to weekly.
We know this is a change, and we want to give you plenty of notice. Your first payment through Groovio will be on Monday 29 June.
With Groovio we are moving to a true “pay as you go” model, which is going to make managing suspensions and changes to your membership much simpler for you and us!
For current members, you will make your final payment in our current system between the 8th – 21st of June. No payment will be taken the week of the 22nd of June
Payments commence in Groovio on Monday the 29th of June*
Unused sessions roll over for 30 days.
If life gets busy and you miss a class, your session credit won’t disappear; it rolls over at the end of the week, and you have 30 days to use it (so technically you have 37 days for each credit). Your sessions are no longer tied to a term.
*Please note that a 1% transaction fee applies to all purchases made through Groovio with your credit card on file, there is no fee on EFTPOS or cash transactions made in studio
Getting Started
Here’s everything you need to do to get set up on Groovio:
- Download the Groovio app here https://link-to.app/GroovioApp
- Log in using the email address linked to your current studio account (you don’t need to create an account)
- Enter the one-time pin sent to your email
- The app may prompt you to enter your emergency contact information – please enter this
- Now you will be prompted to sign the studio waivers; don’t stress, you only need to do this once!
That’s it, you’re in! If you have any issues with this process, please just reach out to your local studio.

FAQ’s
Will my visits/milestones roll over into Groovio?
YES! This data will be transferred over to Groovio so you are still on track for your next milestone reward from us! We are moving the data across on the 27th of June so that your visits are as accurate as possible!!!
How will waitlists work in Groovio?
- More than 8 hours before the class time
You can add yourself to as many waitlists as you like, and you do not require an active pass for this. When you are next in line, you will be notified via the Groovio app and via email that a spot is available. You then have 2 hours to claim that spot before the next person on the list is notified. If you accept the spot, the system will then ask for payment. If you already have a valid session, you can apply that and checkout, if not, you can purchase in that moment to secure your spot. - Less than 8 hours before the class time
Everyone on the waitlist will be notified at the same time via the app and email, and the first person to claim the spot and pay will be added to the class.
Please ensure you have notifications toggled on for waitlists in the notifications settings of the app to avoid missing out!
Please note – notifications are paused between 10pm – 7am
What happens if my membership payment fails in Groovio?
You will be notified via the app and via email and you will be able to process the payment yourself via the app, you no longer need to ask us to do it. You will have 7 days to rectify any outstanding amounts. If you haven’t made your payment within 7 days, the system automatically removes you from all upcoming classes.
I’m a member, and I missed my class this week – what happens?
As long as you cancelled your class with more than 8 hours’ notice in the app, that session will “rollover”, and you will have 30 days to use it from when it rolled over! This gives you SO MUCH more flexibility throughout the term and keeps things really simple. No longer are your membership sessions tied to a term!
I have a gift card from your old booking system, how do I use it?
Contact the studio the gift card is for; they will help you out!
Can I purchase gift cards on Groovio?
Right now Groovio doesn’t support online gift card sales, so just contact your local studio, and they will be able to do it for you until this feature is launched in September!
