There has been many instances where well-known celebs have dappled in our crazy world of pole dancing, most of the time it’s an actress learning pole for a new role, but nether the less, they are venturing into our world and that is awesome. You know that feeling when you meet a stranger who also pole dances, YES, you know what I’m talking about, well seeing a celebrity try any kind of “pole” is the same feeling.

1. Jennifer Lopez – if you have not heard about Jenny From The Block showcasing her bad ass pole skills in the past 12 month, then you must be living under a rock! The epidemic all began when she was announced the leading role of “Hustlers”, a movie about hard working strippers, taking on Wall Street clientele. This role entailed J-Lo to learn how to pole dance, there are several videos you can watch, but my favourite is this journey video of J-Lo taking her first pole dance lesson then bringing everything she learnt to filming day

2. Jennifer Aniston – she briefly did some classes for her role in “We Are The Millers”, a very short but memorable scene for those who have seen the movie. Take a look for yourself:

3. Kate Hudson – in 2017 Kate Hudson caused a huge wave in social media when she posted her pole dance workout at home on her Instagram page. Kate is a Queen! Check her out View this post on Instagram A post shared by Kate Hudson (@katehudson) on

4. FKA Twigs – for those of you who are not Gen-X/Y/Z, then I can tell you that FKA Twigs is a singer/song writer from the UK.  She is known for her song, “Cellophane”, which featured her pole dancing in the music video. Unlike J-Lo & Jennifer Aniston, FKA Twigs has clean lines, dance flow, flexibility and strength. Don’t get me wrong, J-Lo is killing it up there and bringing the industry some positive energy, but FKA Twigs could legitimately compete in a pole dance competition. I am obsessed, take a look:

5. Megan Gale – for those who ARE Gen-X/Y/Z, Megan Gale is an Australian supermodel (the 90s was her prime time) and actress who featured in the movie ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’. Back in 2016 she was taking pole dance classes quite regularly, now I don’t have a video of her, but she did say this: “Try something new – you never know if you’ll enjoy it. With pole dancing, I tripped over my own legs in the first class, but found it was something that I improved at over the length of my course. Give your new discipline time to settle in – anything worthwhile takes a lot of practice. Plus, once you’re fighting fit, any form of exercise is a lot more enjoyable.”

6. Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner – Of course, this was a “Keeping Up” episode stunt back in 2014, but nether less they still gave it a go. So much so, that they installed an X-Pole into their old home. There is footage of young Kylie Jenner having a go at their home pole with sister Kim.

7. Demi Moore – in the 1996 movie, ‘Striptease’, need I say anymore. Take a look:

8. Cardi B – coming from a “stripping background”, Cardi B is open and honest about where she used to be in life. She supports strippers on a regularly basis – if you follow her on Instagram (@iamcardib), you will see Cardi B and her baby daddy, Offset, throwing their dollar bills like there’s no tomorrow. Cardi’s music video “Money” also features the singer showing off her pole dance skills, alongside some other awesome, talented dancers. Watch now:

Big kudos to all the above AND other celebrities far and wide for breaking those misconceptions about pole dancing. It’s hard to convince women that it’s okay to feel liberated and open about your sexuality, trying a pole dance class doesn’t make you less of a human and you shouldn’t be embarrassed. As I always say, life is too short, eat the bag of chips and try a pole or aerial fitness class! Much love to you all! Xoxox
