This highly anticipated event is not only a showcase of talent but also a fundraiser, with ticket sales supporting our wonderful charity partner, Friends with Dignity.

What to expect at Showcase

Look, maybe we are getting ahead of ourselves, but we just can’t help it!!!! Christmas Showcase is our favourite day of the year and honestly, it’s not that far away. On this page you will find all the info you need to prepare yourself for our Showcases. Right now, what you need to know is SAVE THE DATES! Click your location below and pop your studios showcase date into your diary. More info will be coming over the next weeks and months.

What is Christmas Showcase? Like any dance school or sports club, we believe it’s important to celebrate our students’ achievements at the end of the year. The Christmas Showcase is the perfect stage for them to share their hard work and passion with their biggest supporters. The routines you perform at Showcase are the routines you learn in your regular trick syllabus classes PLUS each studio runs a range of specialty classes that run during the term or as workshops. Details on those will be released with the term 6 timetable later in the year.

    How to be a part of Christmas Showcase
    In all of your syllabus classes Beginners – Elite you will learn a routine you can perform at the showcase, the routine will be taught in weeks 2 – 8! All you need to do is attend your regular classes. If you want to dance in extra routines, read on about how to get involved!

    Pole Moves Showcase Pieces

    ​We have introduced specialty 90-minute workshops so you can attend and learn all the choreography for the showcase. The showcase pieces will then be revised & finessed in the regular classes in weeks 6 & 8. BOOKINGS ESSENTIAL.

    Keen on dancing in our Showcase specialty pieces?!? Then make sure you’re booked into the following weeks to learn & perfect the choreography:

    Richmond - Saturday 13th December

    We will have sign-up sheets at the front desk by week 2.

    The Instructors will be teaching the showcase routines all term long inall of your syallbus classes across all levels in Pole, Lyra and Silks.

    With 8 week Dance courses, you must be in minimum week 1 or 2 in order to continue the whole course as by week 3 you will have missed too much chore.

    Showcase routines for all trick syllabus classes will be taught across the full term. For Lyrical, Pole Rock, Chairography and Polography Foundations, the routines will be taught from W4 – W7. Routines for Street Heels and Pole Moves will be taught from W5 – W7.

    Sign up sheets for Showcase will be up in reception as of W3 of the term.

    Mornington - Saturday 29th November

    All levels from Beginners to Elite across all apparatus will learn a showcase routine which you will start anywhere from week 1 onwards.

    Fierce Flow will also have a showcase routine.

    No other dance classes are involved in the showcase.

    Sign-up sheets will be available at the desk by week 2 of the term, which will also outline what to wear for each group.

    It is a ticketed event with all proceeds going to aid FWD so friends and family can come watch you.

    Moonee Ponds - Sunday 7th December

    Sign Up for Showcase will be via an Online Spreadsheet. This will be available from week 1.

    In your Beginner – Elite Syllabus classes you will start learning the routine you can perform at showcase from week 1. 

    The following speciality classes will learn a showcase routine from week 3 of the term, the routine will taught from week 3 – week 8.

    Lorisas’ Showgirls – please read below info carefully before signing up! 

    • Must be able to attend a minimum of 7 out of the 8 weeks 
    • NOT a beginner-friendly class 
    • This class involves both tricks and dance. Can be any level trick class, but must be an intermediate dancer 
    • Involves pole dance, basework, floorwork, and partner work
    • Team-focused group choreography with lots of moving parts (not like other dance classes where you all do the same thing)
    • Will work with each student’s trick and basework skill level as long as you’re comfortable with more intricate choreography.
    • If you aren’t sure this is the right class for you or you have more questions, reach out to Lorisa for clarification.
