Pole & Aerial Divas are proud to be a corporate sponsor of Friends with Dignity and we wanted to share with our community some of the amazing work that this organisation does and how we help to support them.

1 in 4 women are exposed to domestic violence in Australia. We have no doubt that many of you have experienced or know someone who has experienced domestic violence. The mission of FWD is to create a safe space, a sanctuary, a fresh start for these women and families.

Sanctuary Program

Their Sanctuary Program transforms houses into homes for people who have escaped domestic violence to start their new journey with dignity, free from abuse. Everything in these homes is donated and the work of turning them from houses into homes is all done by volunteers. Learn more about the program here.

Urgent Requests Program

FWD receives requests from support agencies to assist families in refuge. These requests can range from nappies, to a TV, driving lessons etc. The goal of FWD is to fill these requests as quickly as possible. Please follow them on instagram to stay across their urgent requests. You can support through monetary donations for the items OR by donating the items themselves where possible.

Little Friends Scholarships

The Little Friends Scholarship has been established to ensure all children have the ability to either further their education and/or be able to participate in extra-curricular activities that they may not be able to pursue due to the financial impact of Domestic and Family Violence. You can donate to these scholarships here. Your support can make a real difference to a child’s life.

How does Pole Divas support FWD?

Since establishing our partnership back in August 2023, we have donated over $20,000. This is through the incredible support of our community. We also run drives in studio for specific campaigns. This has been for Christmas presents, bathroom supplies, kitchen supplies etc. Basically FWD tell us what they are needing and we organise a drive in studio so our community can donate physical items to help and support the amazing work of this charity.

FWD FUNDRAISING WORKSHOPS

In Term 5, each of our studios are running workshops to raise money for FWD. All of the profits from these workshops will be donated. This means, you are getting an amazing workshop experience with our instructors AND that feeling of knowing you are helping those in need. What could be better?
